    My first project

This has been on my list for about 3 years since we moved into our house. Being my first project I'm pretty proud of it. I made it out of rough cut pine with some bug holes and sap pockets to make it look like an old farmhouse table. I rounded the edge of each board and then used biscuits to join together. The table top ended up 1 1/2" thick. The legs I glued up out of the same lumber and my wife's grandfather turned for me. I put the legs and skirting together with mortise and tenons and then I pegged them. I stained it with dark walnut and then urethane for the top coat. I was told it would hold up pretty good. here are some pictures let me know what you think. don't be to harsh.

What is the final intended use of the table?

OK, that's cool. I was just wondering. I have seen computer tables that look like that in offices.
    They are expensive too.

Nice job on the table. It's amazing how popular the Farmhouse style has become.

Just to clarify a bit. There is a store down here that sells upscale furniture.
I've seen computer desks like that, only they had drawers, selling for $3500
and up. Depending on the wood used, they can be nose bleed expensive.

A Zebrawood unit was selling for $18K. But it was beautiful.

I think if I ever built one, I'd put drawers in it.

That looks great. Hard to believe it's your first project. I'm sure it will look great in your kitchen.

It's not a mistake, it's an opportunity for design change.
