    Tools Everone Should Own

I come across an article/list from Popular Mechanics on the 50 tools everyone should own.

Best Tools to Own - Most Useful Tools to Have at Home

Well rounded list, its not designed for one particular discipline but in general. It got me thinking about about what was missing. You think 50 tools, that's a lot of tools, is their anything that that everyone should have in their collection?

What do you think, what should be added to this list?

My choice: A good broom and dustpan. Maybe two brooms, a wide and a standard and a good hefty metal dust pan.

Gawd I absolutely hate how they laid that out.

How about we make our own list, specific to the model and we do a giveaway for them if I can get my hands on them? At least the bigger items like a drill or impact driver...ect

We don't have to. Maybe we should all pick a top 10. More weight rated to the number 10 tool. We can make a long list that way and you all get new tools.

Like most of you, I have anywhere from 10-200 of everything on that list. I liked the socket set, that is 500 pieces alone in my world.

What i mean is, rather than the number 1 tool be a drill/driver, I want it to be a Dewalt DCD996 Drill/Driver. That way I can try to get some tools and then do a giveaway. But we need a lot of participation to pull this off.

Brian, the problem I see with this if someone has never any experience with the tool how does one know if they want it?? I have a variety of Dewalt, Bosch, Porter Cable, and Milwaukee but couldn't tell you which of their newer models I would like better. Free tools are the best!!! ;-)
