    Celtic knot wine bottle stopper----success.

I learned a thing or two on how to make this bottle stopper. The trickiest part is gluing them back up after cutting them. With the 30 degree angle cut, the parts want to slide apart when you clamp them.

I found a way around that and Michael R also had a suggestion that would work.....blue painters tape.....

I'm not thrilled with how tall the stopper turned out to be or the design, but I am happy that the knot turned out. Anyway, it doesn't matter what I think, my wife likes it.

I also got another one done on Sunday, but I forgot to burn some lines in it. It really could use some lines.

I think they turned out very well. The knot is cool.

Great job! You're really getting the turning down. I haven't a clue, when it comes to turning, maybe in the future?

That's cool tugI don't know if you seen a post I made before but I watched a vid of a guy making knots but didn't cut completely through the main stock. He left @ 1/8" on the stock and slid the small piece in through the side. That keeps the stock connected for glue up and the 1/8" that you left will be removed when you're turning it.

These look great! The knot is a fantastic design element and yours look flawless! LOVE IT! I think when you get this whole knot thing down packed, you should create a tutorial because these look super fun to create
